Review of Such is Her Life

Title: Such is Her Life

Author: Reecha Agrawal Goyal

Blurb:

You know her as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, daughter-in-law.
But seldom as a woman . . .
And maybe never as a human.
Get ready . . . it’s time to unlearn and learn.
A collection of musings that will have you reeling in a wave of emotion long after you are done reading, this powerhouse of work will make you smile, cry, go red in anger, nod your head in agreement and grasp the finer nuances of what it means to be her in today’s world.
A SMALL BOOK OF BIG LEARNINGS.

My Views:

This book reminds me of the popular and best-selling book 'HER' by Rupi Kaur. Although the idea was similar, the words inscribed in the book are worth reading. Reecha, in this book, manages to cover all the faces and all the phases of a life of a woman. What she goes through and where she requires a stand, all these points are very bravely forwarded by the author to the readers. They are not just random kinds of stuff you come across on social networking platforms. They encapsulate some serious issues which require to be heard and understood by each one of us.

Presentation of the book is the plus point. Pink and grey colors are used to adorn some of the pages which gives it a nice touch and look and indicates HER color. All the talks about her narrate a story. Even a single line statement holds a story. Richa covers almost all the fragments of a life of a woman. When I started this book, I was afraid that I might face monotonous and known verses on woman's life. But to my surprise, she layers the life of a woman in an elegant manner and lets the reader dive deep into HER life.
