Coffee flavored kisses
Melt on her lips
as she wakes up
to a throbbing temple
next to a warm body
A frisky evening with
Jack Daniels for company
seemed such a good idea
at that time
not so much now.
Passing out on your
much anticipated first date
is not a cool thing
Grateful now for a strong brew
swirling with impish smiles
armload of kisses
wedged between warm hugs
she allows herself to breathe
Irish coffee may not be
the best recommendation
for the morning after, but
all is well that ends well
