Review of Beneath the Snows of Kanchenjunga

Title : Beneath the Snows of Kanchenjunga

Author : S Sekhar

Blurb of the Book : A collision of gigantic proportions created the Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. Over time it now rests… peaceful, majestic, and confident in its own composition. Our lives, with its daily conflicts and collisions, can also be our path to peaceful salvation; but only if we choose to make it so. The eight stories in this book, each with a twist at the end, tell the tale of ordinary people and their daily struggles. Eight mirrors depicting vain and frivolous lives, when all along, their peace, their Kanchenjunga, was oh so near...

My View : The book comprises of eight stories. The problem with me while reading short-stories is : I couldn't dwell into the characters as required time and space is not given to them, I couldn't relate to the characters, I couldn't feel the emotions, as before I start to feel all of that, the story starts to end.

Twist that each story offers at the end of the it excites reader to grab on the seat for the next story. Usually, one reads short stories so that they can take necessary gaps between the reading journey, but in my case there was no gap as I couldn't wait to encounter what more author can serve in his stories. Each story has its own charm and excellence

I won't compare the book with any other book in the market, because this book has its own flavor of charm, but when I compare the eight stories in the book, I was really charmed by some while I was little less charmed by others. And, that's I would like to rate it 4.5.
