Title: Imperfect Misfits
Author: Devanshi Sharma
Blurb: Tiasha: I am very annoyed.
Aakaash: That’s your job, Tiasha. Good that you are doing it well.
Tiasha: And I am very serious.
Aakaash: When are you not!
Tiasha: Argh! I hate you, Aakaash.
Aakaash: Thank God for small mercies!
Just like a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes the sizzling chocolate brownie delicious, these best friends complimented each other. A chef by passion, Tiasha jumps and waves through her professional choices, while Aakaash, the witty stand-up comedian, knows exactly what he wants.
He was the tranquility which refugees crave to stay in and she was the refugee, who wanted to wander and explore. Imperfect Misfits is a story of perfect misfits, food, frolic, emotions and their endless imperfections.
The question is, will their friendship survive through this wavy journey of love?

My View:
Devanshi possesses a unique style of story-telling, it feels like she is right there with you telling you the story, and in amidst of the story, sharing her own life experiences. I found it a bit different and quite liked it, but what put me into concern was whether the story would be just a story for me or I could find a life into it.
She seems comfortable in what she writes and one can see confidence oozing from her words. I kind of like that attitude she pours in the character, specially Tiasha. The next thing I would talk about is food. Dear readers, if you are a glutton, then Devanshi will not let you go with ease with this book. After every few pages, she will remind you of some mouth-watering dishes, and the description she provides make you ponder about the dish and you start fantasizing about having that with you. Well, you could count that as a hindrance in the reading journey ;).
Devanshi's opinions on certain points and her reaction to little things match to that of Tiasha. Her reflection is in Tiasha, and thus connectivity to Tiasha is more impacting.I can feel freshness, charm, and positivism in each of her words. It feels like she was motivated all the time while penning this book, or she is like that in every story of her life. It was like a hide-and-seek game for me. For a moment, I was living the life of the protagonist, and then I took an escape from the fictional world when Devanshi pays her visit and that reminded me of this as a story.
Devanshi's observations about little happening or events of life are portrayed in this book as an example set for life.
She compares events of life with some other categorized event.More than the nature of characters, I got to see more of Devanshi's reflection in the book.Obviously, we get to see author's reflection in each of his/her work, but this story tells so much about Devanshi.
