Review of From Ashes to Dreams

Title: From Ashes to Dreams

Author: Rashmi Trivedi

Blurb:

Sometimes life brings you at a crossroad, where you have no choice but to live every day as if it was your last one. Naina was at such a crossroad! An orphan, she did not have much to look forward to in life, until she fell in love. Love gave her wings and she started to fly, only to come crashing down as the wind beneath her wings turned into a storm. She tries putting an end to her now wretched existence, but fate has some other plans for her. She comes to know that she has limited time to live and decides to start living everyday instead of merely surviving. She lives every moment without worrying about the future she does not have or the past that could not be undone. She falls in love once again, this time with life! Will fate respect her fortitude?

My Views:

The story started from four different angles. It might seem a bit clashing to hear, but authoress has managed to bring the best out of each of the character. For every period of life, I got to know the story from different angles, and that made it easy to dive into the depths of the story and to relate to each one of the characters became very easy.Pretty soon I was also engrossed in the story. The ease with which authoress has crafted the story pushed me to keep on reading it.

The story is fragmented into different facets of life; where you would get to see and feel different flavors of life. This book not just incorporated a love story, but there are several other emotions plunged to it, that made it an altogether interesting journey. I quite like the story-line. It is not completely unique, but has something to serve to the readers.  I like the way how the story is being presented to the readers. It is simple and at the same time good enough to keep the readers engaged.

A very good effort by the author. All in all, I enjoyed the journey. There were some little potholes, but I could easily ignore them.
