My Views:

I couldn't make much of the front cover. It is way too simple and says nothing about the story. At the same time, it lacks the basic ingredient to lure the readers towards the story. Adventure, adventure, adventure, with the adventurous creatures. The blurb talks all about it. For readers, who are keen to go for an adventurous trip, the blurb could surely gather some crowd.

His writing style impressed me, and the words he has chosen to describe certain events, or more precisely the adjectives he has used for some events are more than appropriate.Much to my surprise, the story grabbed my attention pretty early, all credit goes to his writing style. But pretty soon, the effect started to fade as I was not served something excited. The story moved at such a slow pace, that I couldn't wait more to know what the story is all about. Although Shantanu tried to add some fun elements to the story by using some witty conversation, but that didn't cast a spell for a longer time.

The story roams around few characters. Limitation of characters kept me focused towards the plot as I was pretty sure that I wouldn't be greeted with a confusing story. However, some of the facets of the story went off-track made me lose my focus and interest in the mid-way. I'm not much of a fan of adventure read, but I chose to pick this book in hope of getting a thrilling read.

The pace of the story was like a sloth. Each of the sloths (protagonists) entered to be a part of the story with the speed of a sloth. Their characterization goes with the events, not with the words. A good thing to talk about! However, being a reader I was more keen to read the story, to face the twists, and to gather all the elements sprinkled in the story. This is more of a conversation based story. Albeit, some them are healthy conversations, some just touches the line of being fine.

The best thing about the book is- author's command over words. I loved to see how he mend his words and presents beautifully carved sentences. If this had been adorned with a beautiful plot, it could cast a great spell on the reader's mind. Shantanu knows very well how to express his thoughts in the chain of words and impress his readers, but what I'm disappointed here is the execution of the plot.

Good for those who are pulled towards adventure stories!
